iWatch to come in two sizes: 1.7 inches for men and 1.3 inches for women [Rumor]

David Hsieh, an NPD DisplaySearch analyst, claims that Apple’s long rumored iWatch will be available in two different sizes: 1.7 inch display for men and the other with a 1.3 inch display for women. Before this, Hsieh had briefly talked about iWatch that there’s a possibility of two display sizes with a 320 x 320 flexible AMOLED display.

Korean Herald reports that during a conference today in Taiwan, Hsieh offered a few additional details on Apple’s iWatch plans, noting that the wearable device may come in two sizes targeting men with a larger 1.7-inch display and women with a smaller 1.3-inch option.
Apple’s wearable iWatch is expected to come with a 1.7-inch OLED display for men’s watches and a 1.3-inch OLED screen for women, David Hsieh, DisplaySearch’s Vice President of the Greater China Market, said at a conference today in Taiwan, citing Apple sources. [...]
It is yet to be confirmed whether the displays will be flexible but sources said it was a possibility, since Apple will want to upstage Samsung’s Galaxy Gear.
A few days ago, another analyst from NPD DisplaySearch claimed that Apple has put a hold on its major television plans as the company wants to focus on wearable devices. Separate from Hsieh’s comments, the report claims that the iWatch mat be launched as soon as the end of this year, but that seems highly unlikely since it’s already November, and it’s unlikely that Apple will be holding another event until next year.
Tim Cook has previously hinted at the iWatch with his statement that Apple will be launchign a new product categories in 2014, and considered wearables an area of “profound interest”.
